Tuko Tuko teaches 'the drums.' Drums made from logs are used throughout Polynesia. After voice, drums are one of the earliest forms of communication known to man, and could even be the earliest musical instrument. Drums carry the village pulse for ceremonies, entertainment, and communications.
Tuko has been playing the drums 'all his life.' Born and raised in Tahiti, Tuko has a long history of teaching, both here and in the South Pacific, and has instructed at the Polynesian Cultural Center.
